Skip AirPrint and use your router’s USB print feature.
- Plug the printer into your WiFi router’s USB port.
- On the router settings page, enable USB printing or print server.
- On your iPad, install a generic print app that supports IP printing, like “Direct Print & Scan for AirPrint.”
- In the app, add a printer by IP, use the router’s IP address.
- Open your document, use Share, then open in that app and print.
This uses the router as the bridge, which often fixes flaky WiFi printer discovery.
